memorial day, lakeside + summer sunday funday

Better late than never, right? I spent one night of Memorial Day weekend at a friend's lake house in New Hampshire and was totally blissed out the whole time. Canoeing, relaxing, sitting by the fire, drinking tequila, and eating so many fish tacos. I don't remember the last time I had laughed that hard or felt that happy. More of this please, Universe :)

And then yesterday was the most beautiful #sundayfunday. Three adults and three kids totaled 17 pounds of strawberries, picked from a sweet little farm by the ocean. After the rigor of strawberry picking, we had to stop at the beach for an hour to listen to the waves and soak up some more sun. We drove home happy and tired, and stopped at a kid's lemonade stand on the way (because, you always have to stop for them, even if you're doing the Whole30 and can't drink any).

My goal for this summer is to break out my real camera more often, finding creative joy in the little moments that make up a summer. I hope to post a week's photos once a week, documenting the season. We'll see how it goes :) Stay tuned!
