byron bay, australia.

I whipped out my trusty old backpack for a few nights away in Byron Bay while I was on holiday last week, and gosh do I love that town. All the dreadlocks and happy beachgoers and jewelry shops and surfers and long-haired, barefoot men — my kind of place.

My solo travel skills were a little rusty (if you don't use it, you totally lose it) and the first day away was a bit weird and lonely, but I made the most of it. (Imagine: hot pizza on the beach with a bottle of wine late at night, alone.) The day after, I was joined by two friends from France and we had a lovely time with gorgeous views. (Can you believe the color of that water??)

Byron, I love you. See you soon? xo
