i have the most beautiful friends.

I met Estelle here in Sydney and am thankful every day that I did. We both look after kids in the same kindergarten class and she lives just around the corner. We have coffee together most mornings at our favorite coffee shop, we spend our weekends talking and drinking wine together, and we're always up for adventures to the beach or a mini road trip. When Estelle asked to do a mini photo shoot in my backyard one weekend, I jumped on the chance. Not only is she gorgeous, but she's the sweetest friend ever and I can totally see that come through in these photos.

love still trumps hate.

I feel as if I'm going through some heart-wrenching break up — I can't eat, I can't sleep, I forget about it for two minutes and then remember all over again, holding back tears. I'm sure so many of us are feeling the same, and I wish I had more cohesive words. For now I'm just wading through my grief, trying to put one foot in front of the other, holding onto the hope that someday I'll be able to have more faith in our future.

But I'm also remembering love. Because love still trumps hate. Love will always trump hate.
