MEET RUTH

Hi, I’m Ruth! I’ve been obsessed with handwriting ever since I was an elementary schooler learning cursive. From writing stories in my notebooks to penning letters to my friends, I was always in love with writing by hand.

Fast forward to adulthood, and I hand wrote the words “just love” to be tattooed on my forearm. From there, a business was born. Nearly a hundred people have since commissioned me to hand write tattoos for them, and it’s my great honor to provide the designs that permanently adorn so many humans.

I still design tattoos today, but I’ve expanded my work to include hand lettering and calligraphy for special events and weddings, such as welcome signs, seating charts, and place cards. (And I have a special place in my heart for addressing hundreds of envelopes!)

When I’m not hand lettering, you can find me at my day job working as a social worker in early childhood mental health. I also love writing my Substack essays, hanging with my kitties, hiking in the woods, and traveling the world.
